Ride with a local farm on a beautiful wooden sleigh as it journeys through the Lodge's lantern-lit wooded trails while the stars show the way to the lake. Step back in time to when the Lake Clear Lodge & Retreat operated in the Prohibition days, where they transported both people and the "spirits" of the woods via sleigh!

The Lake Clear Lodge & Retreat's partners with a local farm to offers sleigh rides 25-minutes from Lake Placid and 15-minutes from Saranac Lake.

A family-fun 30-minute cooking demo, where everyone rolls in the dough to make their own strudel! Then you can have your dough and eat it too – as your own creation for dessert!

History of Beer Workshop & Tasting

A 30-minute workshop that takes you through the History of Beer! While you learn, sample 6 different craft import brews from around the world and travel through time through the three revolutions of beer. Must be 21 years of age or older with ID to participate.

Sleigh Ride & Speakeasy Dinner Experience

More than just a Lantern-lit Sleigh Ride! Enjoy a Sleigh Ride and Speakeasy Experience where you can explore one of the last original Adirondack Lodges. You'll need a password to get in, and a 1920s Copper might even raid us! Ride with a local farm on your journey through the Lake Clear Lodge's lantern-lit, wooded trails while the stars show the way to the lake.

  • 4:00 PM: Hands-on Roll In The Dough Cooking Class
    A family-fun 30-minute cooking class where you can roll in the dough like ‘dem gangsters! Join Executive Chef Cathy Hohmeyer in a hands-on demo where she guides you on creating a strudel you can take home with you or have for dessert! You’ll also learn how to make strudels savory or sweet while incorporating traditional food preparations that go back thousands of years.

  • 4:30 PM: History of Ancient Brews & Tonics Tasting
    Required ride time    : 5:15 PM or later.
    Learn and taste the ancient roots of today’s elixirs. From the brews of antiquity and spirits of the medieval alchemists to critical historical moments that changed alcohol and whole civilizations, sip and discover up to six tasting tonics. Each month, there is a different theme in a fun and interactive 30-minute workshop. You must be 21 years or older and have a valid ID to participate; mocktail options are available.
