Lake Placid Olympic Legacy Sites

The Lake Clear Lodge is 25 minutes away from the Olympic village of Lake Placid, host to the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games and ongoing winter and summer sporting events.

The Lake Clear Lodge is central to what is known as the "Tri-lakes region," or the locations of historic Tupper Lake, the artisan community of Saranac Lake, and the Olympic traditions of Lake Placid.

There are several options for exploring the Olympic venues, including a "Olympic passport." The Olympic Center containing hockey rinks, the Olympic Jumping Complex, Mount Van Hoevenberg for bobsled and luge, and Whiteface Mountain are vital facilities. There are also fun activities, including the Sky Flyer Zipline, Cliffside Coaster, Gondola Rides, and the Whiteface Veteran's Memorial Highway. Please note that many venues are not located in Lake Placid. Please visit their website for more information, directions, and tickets!
