Disconnect from Stress & Reconnect with Nature
Though our location in the woods and on the water creates a rejuvenating destination alone, there is no WiFi, TVs, or phones in our lodgings to ensure a serene stay with a focus on relaxation, mindfulness, and making meaningful connections. We encourage you to unplug from the stresses of daily life and instead plug into the sights and sounds of nature.
However, we understand that complete disconnection may not be an option for all our guests. For your convenience, we provide complimentary WiFi in the Main Lodge lobby and gazebo.
Additionally, cell phone carriers that use Verizon towers do have some service and LTE/data coverage.

The Story
We can still remember Hohmeyer Sr. taking the antique pot-belly wood stove apart piece by piece to refinish it for the Lake House after it laid dormant for many years. It had a special meaning for them, as moving into the Lodge four days before Christmas in 1965, it was their only source of heat…and water. They would go out into the snowbanks with pots, fill them with snow, and heat them until they became warm water.
To honor this, we built a Jacuzzi with a window to enjoy warm water and a warm fire again. It has a master bedroom and living room with a fold-out futon, where sliding doors can create a second bedroom. There are times when the sun sets, reflecting off the glass, hence the name, though each time we look at the stove, we reflect on our parents.
