This two-bedroom suite on the bottom floor of the Guest House has a double jacuzzi tub, a spacious kitchen with an incredible lake view, two bedrooms, and a living room with a fold-out couch that faces a gas fireplace.
The Details
The first thing you will notice is the unique character of our iconic Guest House. This intricately restored building comprises two suites, with Woodsmoke on the bottom floor. It is so spacious it allowed us to place a separate bathroom with a double jacuzzi and a separate shower, a kitchen with a beautiful view of our three-acre lake lawn and imagination-inspiring sunset beach, a roomy living room with queen size fold couch and gas fireplace as well as two bedrooms. It is built from milled wood from the property in which each board had to be individually cut and placed in a proper, elegant Adirondack artisan way.

Disconnect from Stress & Reconnect with Nature
Though our location in the woods and on the water creates a rejuvenating destination alone, there is no WiFi, TVs, or phones in our lodgings to ensure a serene stay with a focus on relaxation, mindfulness, and making meaningful connections. We encourage you to unplug from the stresses of daily life and instead plug into the sights and sounds of nature.
However, we understand that complete disconnection may not be an option for all our guests. For your convenience, we provide complimentary WiFi in the Main Lodge lobby and gazebo.
Additionally, cell phone carriers that use Verizon towers do have some service and LTE/data coverage.

The Story
Cathy and I remember the, let us say, interesting conversations we had with Ernest Hohmeyer Sr. about restoring the Guest House or tearing it down. When we agreed to rehabilitate it down to the framing, we thought, "How did we get talked into this?" We knew they had been right once it was finished, too much later. You cannot replace the character of the Guest House with its iconic copulas, roof design, and interior uniqueness. We were determined to rebuild it with wood from the property and hand-placed each board. We often think of Ernest Hohmeyer Sr. sitting on the front porch soaking in the morning sun, knowing that he was proud of how this iconic building came out.
