Two Bedroom Chalets
November Moon Chalet
A "mini-great camp," nearly 1,000 square feet and with a spacious vaulted living room with wood burning fireplace, two-bedrooms, a fold-out couch, kitchenette, and large deck.
The Details
November Moon Chalet was built to honor the iconic traditions of the Adirondack Great Camps. It was meticulously designed by Chef Cathy Fisher Hohmeyer's father, a well-known Adirondack craftsman, and you will not find one piece of trim. Each board was hand-placed and individually cut. It is nearly 1,000 square feet of rustic elegance built as a miniature Great Camp with a vaulted living room ceiling, wood-burning fireplace, and kitchen.
This two-bedroom chalet with a queen-sized fold-out couch sleeps two to six guests. It is surrounded by our interpretive nature trails, which serve as our lantern-lit sleigh ride trails and connect cross-country ski and snowshoe paths right from your chalet door! In the summer, these become our interpretive nature trails. November Moon is pet friendly and approximately a 3-minute walk to the main lodge or our picturesque beach.

Disconnect from Stress & Reconnect with Nature
Though our location in the woods and on the water creates a rejuvenating destination alone, there is no WiFi, TVs, or phones in our lodgings to ensure a serene stay with a focus on relaxation, mindfulness, and making meaningful connections. We encourage you to unplug from the stresses of daily life and instead plug into the sights and sounds of nature.
However, we understand that complete disconnection may not be an option for all our guests. For your convenience, we provide complimentary WiFi in the Main Lodge lobby and gazebo.
Additionally, cell phone carriers that use Verizon towers do have some service and LTE/data coverage.

The Story
November Moon was designed by Cathy Fisher Hohmeyer’s father, whose Saranac Inn Sawmill was the source for the famous Saranac Inn resort at the turn of the 20th century. The Saranac Inn was the largest ever built in the Adirondacks, where over 1,000 guests could stay, and five Presidents visited it. The November Moon Chalet was made in that Great Camp style.
This chalet holds a special place in our heart as it was the first project Cathy & Ernest Hohmeyer built when they purchased the Lodge from Ernest Sr. and Elsbeth Hohmeyer. Several generations were involved in construction, giving it a loving, rustic, elegant touch. It was finished when there was a new moon in November, providing its namesake.
